The Global Fintech Institute (GFI) is seeking a versatile and highly-organized HR, Admin & Finance Intern to support our core operations. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who wants broad exposure to the essential functions that keep a global organization running smoothly. You will work across our People & Culture (HR), Finance, and Administrative teams, providing critical support in financial tracking, operational efficiency, and people management. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the fundamentals of business operations.

Note: This is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) position.

Responsibilities

Finance Support

  • Assist with tracking and processing team expenses and vendor invoices
  • Support the finance team in preparing basic financial reports, such as monthly budget vs. actuals and cash flow summaries
  • Help with data entry for accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
  • Reconcile financial records and assist with month-end closing procedures

Human Resources (People & Culture) Support

  • Assist in preparing HR documentation, such as employment contracts, internship agreements, and onboarding letters
  • Help maintain confidential employee records and update our HR Information System (HRIS)
  • Support the employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately
  • Assist with payroll preparation by gathering relevant data (e.g., leave records)

Administrative Support

  • Coordinate team meetings, manage calendars, and prepare meeting agendas or minutes
  • Manage office supplies, equipment inventory, and relationships with building vendors
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal administrative inquiries

Requirements

  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field (graduates also welcomed to apply)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles and HR practices
  • A proactive, reliable, and professional communicator
  • Bonus: Experience with accounting software (like Xero) or an HRIS (like HREasily)
