GFI provides a pathway of industry recognised certifications — including the Chartered Fintech Associate (CFtA) and the Chartered Fintech Professional (CFtP®) — as well as executive programmes, research insights, and access to a global professional community.
The CFtA builds foundational knowledge for early-career professionals, while the CFtP® develops advanced skills and credibility for mid-career leaders. Both certifications enhance employability, credibility, and pathways to leadership roles.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old. Eligibility differs by pathway:
Direct to CFtP®: Requires a Bachelor's degree, relevant professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CAIA), or final-year undergraduate standing.
CFtA to CFtP®: Candidates who hold the Chartered Fintech Associate (CFtA) are eligible regardless of degree requirements
GFI offers three membership tiers:
Affiliate Membership – US$49/year: Open to all, ideal for students and early-career professionals.
Associate Membership – US$129/year: For CFtA holders and CFtP® candidates.
Ordinary Membership – US$169/year: Exclusive to CFtP® charterholders. This tier grants the right to use the CFtP® designation, access senior-level opportunities, and participate in closed-door events
