CFtA to CFtP®: Candidates who hold the Chartered Fintech Associate (CFtA) are eligible regardless of degree requirements

What is the CFtP® designation?

The Chartered Fintech Professional (CFtP®) is the Global Fintech Institute's flagship certification. It is a two-level programme that equips professionals with advanced knowledge in finance, fintech, ethics, and global industry trends, positioning them for leadership roles.

How is the CFtP® awarded?

Candidates earn the CFtP® Charter by successfully completing all exams at Level 1 and Level 2, fulfilling a two-year fintech work experience requirement, and submitting two professional references

How long is the CFtP® valid for?

The CFtP® designation is valid as long as the professional remains a member of GFI in good standing, meeting membership dues and professional conduct requirements.

What are the memberships offered?

GFI offers three membership tiers:

Affiliate Membership – US$49/year: Open to all, ideal for students and early-career professionals.

Associate Membership – US$129/year: For CFtA holders and CFtP® candidates.

Ordinary Membership – US$169/year: Exclusive to CFtP® charterholders. This tier grants the right to use the CFtP® designation, access senior-level opportunities, and participate in closed-door events

How do I remain in good standing as a CFtP® charterholder?

To remain in good standing, CFtP® charterholders must:

Maintain Ordinary Membership annually.
Adhere to GFI's Code of Ethics and Professional Standards through an annual conduct declaration.
