SINGAPORE, 13 July 2026. Fintech capital and technology move across borders in an instant, but professional standards travel only as fast as the institutions that carry them. This week, the Global Fintech Institute takes a step toward carrying them further.
The Global Fintech Institute (GFI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SolusFutura Pte Ltd on 8 July 2026, establishing a strategic partnership to advance fintech professional certification and education across Hong Kong, Macau and the Greater Bay Area. The MOU was signed at 80RR Fintech Hub SG in Singapore by Dr Alfred Wu on behalf of SolusFutura, with Ho Hui Yi, Chief Strategy Officer, representing GFI at the ceremony.
SolusFutura is a specialised digital transformation consultancy headquartered in Singapore with an established presence in Hong Kong, bringing together senior professionals from Big Four consulting firms, enterprise IT leadership, human resources management and early-stage investment. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to cultivating fintech professionals with an international perspective and to building a sustainable, long-term cooperation mechanism between the two organisations.
Bringing the CFtP to Hong Kong, Macau and the Greater Bay Area
The MOU establishes a framework for collaboration across regional market promotion, event and brand cooperation, and course cooperation. Through the partnership, SolusFutura will promote the Chartered Fintech Professional (CFtP®) programme and related opportunities throughout the territory, connecting financial institutions, technology enterprises and educational partners to GFI's international certification and training system.
Ho Hui Yi, Chief Strategy Officer at the Global Fintech Institute (GFI), said the partnership reflects the institute's conviction that professional standards should scale with the market.
"Wherever fintech grows, professional standards should grow with it. This strategic partnership brings the CFtP to one of the most dynamic financial corridors in the world."
Strengthening industry dialogue through events and executive education
Beyond certification, the partnership extends to forums, seminars, corporate training and other promotional activities across the region, with GFI experts and representatives participating in events convened by SolusFutura. The two organisations will also explore executive education and certification-related courses for the region's financial workforce.
Dr Alfred Wu, Founder of SolusFutura, who is also a GFI Chartered Fellow, highlighted the significance of the MOU:
"The Greater Bay Area has the capital and the technology. What it needs now is a shared professional standard, and that is what the CFtP brings."
Supporting professional standards across a growing corridor
The agreement adds to GFI's growing network of strategic partnerships, each one extending fintech professional standards into a new market across the region.
This MOU represents a shared intent to collaborate in good faith, strengthen professional capabilities, and support the inclusive growth of fintech across Hong Kong, Macau and the wider Greater Bay Area. By combining SolusFutura's regional network and consulting expertise with GFI's education-driven mandate, both organisations aim to build a more skilled, connected and future-ready fintech workforce.

Talent Certification
GFI's core programmes, the Chartered Fintech Professional (CFtP®) and Chartered Fintech Associate (CFtA) certifications, equip professionals with the essential skills needed to navigate industry change and adapt to the rapidly evolving fintech landscape.
